As a parent, you want your student connected to the heart of God. Junior High and Senior High are critical times for any student. It’s here they begin to determine the direction their life will take. It’s where they begin to listen to other voices in their lives. As a parent and loved one, you want the best for your student. So do we. We have a team of passionate adult and student volunteers who help us accomplish this.
What is SWITCH?
SWITCH is for any student in the 6th – 12th grades. We meet weekly on Wednesday Nights at TheBOD.tv from 7:00 – 8:30pm and are centered around four things:
SWITCH meets as a group the first Wednesday night of each month for high-energy games, student-led worship, and a relevant teaching time followed by breakout discussion groups made up of students and adult leaders. First Wednesdays are a great time for students to make their initial connection with the SWITCH community.
The second, third, and fourth weeks of the month, students are challenged to grow through a LifeGroup on Wednesday nights. A LifeGroup is simply a small group of 5 – 8 students who spend time relating scripture to their lives, sharing what God is doing in their lives and the lives of their friends, and praying about their relationship with Him and others. Each LifeGroup is encouraged by an adult LifeGroup leader who’s goal is to love students and help them grow closer to Christ.
Mission Serving Experiences
Throughout the year, SWITCH serves at various area ministries as well as abroad, many times leading the way for the entire church body. Mission experiences range from serving at local rescue ministries providing food for the disadvantaged, to mission opportunities in countries like Honduras and England. These experiences are always adult- sponsored and have a huge impact on student’s lives.
BosSquad Student Leadership Team
The Student Leadership Team gives students ownership of their faith and a way to live out what they are learning by pouring into other students. We are committed to equipping the next generation by allowing them to be “in the game.” Students get the opportunity to invest in their peers, shape ministry through their own hard work, and be coached and mentored by adult leaders along the way.
